Sarma Billing Access
Billing system access, most of which is restrictive, into the clients Billing System allows Sarma to view Patient Account Information and generally provides quicker response time to answer any patient questions. If a patient maintains their insurance should have paid for services billed, we can check to see if any and what insurance (s) have been filed on their behalf. Billing access prevents most questions and requests to the client business office to provide additional patient account information; allows us to work hand in hand with Business Office. We can view insurance payments and adjustments posted to accounts, allowing us to maintain a current balance of patient accounts. In some instances, the system provides Sarma the ability to download a payment report, which is one less weekly responsibility for someone in the business office. Our agents have to rely on someone being responsive and providing information in a timely manner so they may respond to the patient. These delays and lack of information to agents can certainly lengthen or cease the collection process. With the information we need at our fingertips, we have the ability to maintain the essential flow needed in a collection process.
Is this a secure process?
Sarma will work with you to ensure that a secure method of access is available before proceeding. Sarma accesses billing systems on a case by case basis and strongly encourages Virtual Private Network (VPN) usage.
